Short description & land use (current/history)

Extensive grazing by sheep, in order to obtain summer pastures, is permitted and it is still affecting the two lower summits, as usual all over the Pyrenees. The impact on tourism (hiking, mountaineering), is moderate in the second summit (ANA-Vértice de Anayet). On all the peaks there is sporadic grazing by wild herbivores.

Vegetation boundary lines

The current forestline is marked by residual small patches of Pinus uncinata and neither trees nor shrubs can be seen over this level because of the old fire human action and intensive pressure of domestic herbivores along centuries.
