Extra Approaches in GLORIA

Beyond the standard and supplementary methods for GLORIA summit sites, several additional activities have started as further components of the GLORIA network. These extra approaches are directly related to a GLORIA target region, but are usually not confined to the summit sites, and partly have an interdisciplinary focus.
Extra Approaches may deal with downslope plant surveys transects extending from summit sites downwards into the montane forest belt, with invertebrate animal groups, selected vertebrates, soil variability and decomposition, or with socio-economic and cultural aspects in GLORIA regions.
